A line person installs the lines that connect the EV charging station sites to the power grid. They may upgrade existing infrastructure or expand grid capacity to accommodate higher electricity demand from the increase in the number of EVs on the road. This career is projected to grow into the next decade presenting many opportunities for jobs in this area. Line people and other similar electricity roles are often referred to as Journey-level in the earlier stages of their training.
